On Sunday, 11/23/2025, at approximately 6:45am, officers responded to a shooting in the 400 block of E. Florida St. Upon arrival, they located Kayden Newman, who had been shot. Kayden was transported to Moses Cone Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. His death is being investigated as a homicide.

On Monday, 9/15/2025 at approximately 11:40pm, Righteous Isley was found with a lethal gunshot wound near the 1200 block of Bellevue St. Righteous died from the injury and his death is being investigated as a homicide.

SOLVED!
On September 9, 2025, at 1631 hours, the Guilford County Sheriff's Office responded to the 1200 block of Blackberry Ridge Drive, High Point, NC 27265, on a reported Suspicious Activity call for service. After conducting multiple interviews and searching the area, a crime scene was located, photographed, and evidence was collected. Detectives searched for and were unable to locate Amber Marie Schimmelpfenning. The investigation quickly evolved into a Missing Person/Homicide. Amber was last seen on September 9, 2025, at approximately 0000 hours. The Guilford County Sheriff's Office worked closely with the Guilford County District Attorney's Office, and Ricky Lam, Asian, Male, age 40, was charged with First Degree Murder, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Concealment/Failure to report a Death on September 14, 2025. Anyone with information regarding Amber's death, the location of her champagne Chevrolet Avalanche, or Amber's remains should contact Greensboro/Guilford Crime Stoppers.

On 6/15/2025 at 12:48am, GPD Officers responded to an aggravated assault at the 800 block of Norwalk St. Jquann Fuller was located with injuries and transported to a local hospital. He succumbed to his injuries on 6/16/2025. Jquann’s death is now being investigated as a homicide.

On Thursday 1/09/25 at 1:02 am officers responded to the 3900 block of Hahns Ln in reference to a reported shooting. During this time, two people arrived at a local hospital with apparent gunshot wounds. Conrado Guillermo did not survive his injuries and his death is being investigated as a homicide.

On Wednesday 01/01/25 at 1:13 am officers responded to a shooting at the 2600 block of Lawndale Drive. Shakeem was located suffering from life threatening injuries; he was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Shakeem’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

Can You Identify? Homicide Suspect in Mark Freedman Murder
The Greensboro Police Department needs your help in identifying the subject in this video was is the alleged suspect in the homicide of Mark Freedman. On November 4, 2020, officers responded to 616 Dolley Madison Rd, the parking lot of Mark's Restaurant. Police located Mark Freedman, owner of the restaurant, who was suffering from a fatal gunshot wound after being assaulted on Election Night, November 3, 2020. Mark's death is being investigated as a homicide. The perpetrator in this video is believed to be of medium/stocky build and short to medium height.

On Monday 11/25/24 at 12:25 pm officers responded to Yanceyville Street near King Fisher Trail on a report of a deceased subject. Officers located the subject off the side of the roadway down an embankment. The subject appeared to have at least one traumatic injury consistent with a gunshot wound. The subject was later identified as Samad Theophilus Johnson II. Samad’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

On Saturday, 10/12/24 at 8:49 pm, officers responded to a shooting at 1502 Barber Park Drive. Tyrek was located suffering from numerous gunshot wounds. Tyrek succumbed to his fatal injuries while first responders were on scene. The shooting is believed to be related to a road rage incident. Tyrek’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

On Sunday 9/29/24 at 3:07 am officers responded to an unresponsive subject at 2347 Randleman Road. Brandy was found deceased in a parking lot outside of a restaurant. She was last seen wearing a red jumpsuit and red shoes. Brandy’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

On Friday 9/13/24 at 2:01 am officers responded to a shooting at 3941 W Market St. Jamon was located in the backseat of a vehicle that was stopped on W Market at S Greene St. Life-saving efforts were initiated however, Jamon succumbed to his injuries. Davion’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

On Sunday 8/4/24 at 9:40 pm officers responded to a shooting in the 1000 Block of Arnold St, close to Boston’s House of Jazz. Teldrekus had been shot and he died from the injuries. Teldrekus’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

On Thursday 4/25/2024 at 10:30 am officers responded to a vehicle collision on Interstate 840 between Burlington Road and I-40/I-85. William had been shot and later died from the injuries. His death is being investigated as a homicide. The suspect vehicle is described as a red/burgundy newer model sedan, possibly a Honda with dark tinted windows. Investigators are seeking dash camera video or still images of two vehicles observed traveling at a high rate of speed from the Graham/Burlington area toward Greensboro on I-40 westbound between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. that day.
